OUR GROUP & MEETINGS

We are a mixed ability group.  Our members may have just taken up art for the first time, some have started painting again after many years, and some are experienced artists.  We use all mediums including Lino Cut Printing .  We do not provide teaching, but give lots of help and encouragement to each other. There is always someone who knows how to use a particular medium or solve a problem.

We meet weekly at the Bulwark Community Centre and there is plenty of free car parking.  We usually have a break for the last week in July and all of August, also a week or two at Christmas/New Year.  Bulwark Community Centre is accessible to anyone with limited mobility, with recently renovated toilets and push-button main entrance to the building. WiFi is available.

If you are a member of Chepstow u3a you may be interested in joining our group.  First contact one of our Group Leaders by telephone, we will happily answer any questions.  You can then come along to a Thursday group session and find out more. If you have enjoyed doing some art in the past bring some of your work if you like, and bring your materials and have a go along with the rest of us.  You will be given a warm welcome, the first two sessions are free so you don’t have to commit straight away.

PLEIN-AIR PAINTING

In the summer, apart from our Thursday afternoon sessions some members like to meet together to paint outdoors in local places of interest.
