Opportunities to Volunteer with the Trust

TAT are looking for members to join the Governance and Finance Committees. These committees are made up of volunteers who support the Board of Trustees with governance and oversight of the Trust.

If you would like to contribute to the ongoing success of the Trust and the u3a movement, and have some relevant experience, we’d love to hear from you. Please do share these opportunities with your members. Full role descriptions and requirements are available to download on our website.

Improvements to the Service TAT Provides to u3as

There has long been dissatisfaction with communicating with TAT both by telephone and by email. They have listened to this and their telephone system now has a triage system to direct you to the right person, you can hold in a queue or request a call back. Calls are now answered by volunteers. TAT has instigated a tracking system to monitor these changes to ensure that they work. With emails TAT has improved the info@u3a.org.uk Inbox. Answers should be much quicker and relevant.

  • Sign up and information about TAT and other u3as will be emailed to your inbox each month. You can always ‘Unsubscribe’ if you decide you don’t want it any more.
• Online TAT Learning Events
  • A wide range of interesting topics. Usually a single talk on Zoom and free. More come available each month.
• Interest Groups Online
  • Just like our interest groups but they are online and run by TAT. There may be a charge for joining these groups. Groups include 3D printing, Geology, Historical Writers, Latin, Maths, Russian, and lots more.
• Learning Activities
  • A wide range of interests for all u3a members to get involved in from challenges and projects to competitions. Some are one-off events and others run over an ongoing period of time. Connecting with Members includes Speakers list, Walkers Exchange, a Quiz Library and a u3a Air Fryer Community!
• u3a Radio Podcast
  • Listen to the latest Podcast fro TAT
