For Website Managers

This page is for Website Managers who have the appropriate access permissions. If you are a Group Leader who wants to manage your web page, go to Editing Group Web Pages

Adding a Web Page

  • Dashboard
  • Pages
  • Add New Page (top of Page)
  • Add Title
  • Add ‘Ready for editing’ - delete when you have some real data on the page
  • Click Publish (top right) twice.

Page is now ready for editing

Or

  • Go to suitable page to copy
  • Hover over Edit Page
  • Duplicate This as Draft
  • Change Title
  • Amend text etc as required
  • Click Publish (top right) twice

Adding a New Group

Once it is created it will automatically fit into the appropriate position alphabetically in the All Groups, Groups by Category and Groups-Quick pages.

Procedure

  • Dashboard
  • Groups
  • New Group
  • Add Group Title
  • Add Category
  • Author
    • Assign to whoever is/are the Group Leader(s)
  • Click Publish
  • Confirm that you are ready to Publish
  • Add photograph and description of Group for All Groups Page. (may do this later)
  • Click Publish

Or

  • Go to suitable group page to copy
  • Hover over Edit Group
  • Duplicate This as Draft
  • Change Title
  • Amend text etc as required
  • Click Publish (top right) twice

In the Group Page

  • Complete as much as possible of group information (bottom section)

Add whatever else is required

  • Photographs
  • Extra columns
  • Etc.

Publish

Header and Footer Menus

  • Pages must be created first
  • Dashboard
  • Appearance
  • Editor
  • Navigation
    • Navigation2 is Top Menu
    • Footer 321 are Footer menus?
  • Use LH menu to delete or move menu options up or down
  • Use top menu to add more options
    • Click on the + to add more options. A list of possible pages will be displayed - Click on the required page. (This is why you have to create the page first!)
  • To add a Sub Menu
    • Click on the Menu option
    • Click on the Sub Menu icon (curly arrow and 3 horizontal bars)
    • Add first sub menu option
    • For subsequent options, use the LH menu, 3 vertical dots and add after.
    • Make sure you don’t add the 2nd sub menu under the first sub menu 

Changing the Author

  • Only one author is permitted
  • Dashboard
  • Page
  • Search for the Page to amend
  • Quick Edit
  • Click Author
  • Find the new Author
  • Click Update

Media Files

Moving a File Between Folders

  • Enter Folder Name or stay with Uncategorised
  • Click on the file
  • Click on Filebird Folder (RHS)
  • Click on X (top RHS) to close
  • No need to Save
  • Alternatively, files can be moved by drag and drop

Create a New Folder

  • Dashboard
  • Media
  • Library
  • Click New Folder (Towards the top LHS)
  • Where new folder appears
  • Enter the new Folder Name
  • Folders can be moved to new location by drag and drop
  • Click Save
