IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ACTIVE DOG WALKING GROUP. Unfortunately the Lydney to Parkend Road is closed due to road works. Alternative route: Continue on A48 on Lydney bypass towards Blakeney. On entering Nibley just before Blakeney turn left onto New Road signposted Parkend. Continue pass Wenchford picnic site and Mallards Pike. After about half mile turn right onto Speech House Road. New Fancy car park is about 200 yard on the right. Hopefully see you there. Andy

The walk is approx 2.6 miles and 166 ft of elevation. It is all on forest tracks. We'll walk to Mallards Pike where the water babes can go for a swim at the doggy beach. Then on to the café for coffee and cake. Then retrace our steps to the car park.f

From Chepstow go down the A48 and into Lydney. When in Lydney take the B4231 Bream Road. Continue on road until reach Parkend. At the T junction in Parkend turn right onto the B4234 Fancy Road. After 1.3 miles turn left onto Speech House Road. If you go past Mallards Pike car park you've gone too far. Car park for New Fancy is on right after about 200 yards.
