A Royal Day Out ticket that covers entry into The King’s Gallery, The Royal Mews and The State Rooms.
What’s On: The King’s Gallery has an exhibition Queen Elizabeth: Her life in style featuring approx. 200 items of both informal and formal clothing worn over the 10 decades of her life. Alongside these : jewellery, shoes ,hats, handbags and accessories as well as design sketches, fabric samples and correspondence. Incudes both her bridesmaid dress (to Princess Margaret) and her wedding dress and coronation dress.
The Royal Mews: approx. 4-5 mins walk from King’s Gallery – is a working stable as well as home to both Royal Carriages and cars including the Gold State Coach.
The State Rooms: approx. 6-7 min walk from Mews. The public rooms of the Palace with many paintings from the Royal Collection including Van Dyck, Canaletto and sculpture by Canova, Sevres porcelain and one of the finest collection of fine and decorative furniture and arts in the world. The tour through is self guided with a multimedia hand held guide, finishing in the Palace Gardens.
The overall visit takes 4- 41/2 hours
Provisional Travel Arrangements
- 7.15 am please arrive in good time at Chepstow Leisure Centre car park
- 7.30am coach leaves Chepstow LC car park.
- 9.00vam approx. stop at Reading Services on the M4
- 11.30 am approx. coach arrives at Grosvenor Place.
- 11.45 am first group entry into the Kings Gallery

- 5.15 pm. Please aim to be at the coach pick up point at Grosvenor Place
- 5.30 pm Coach leave London
- There will be no stop on the return journey so make sure you have any drinks or food for the journey.
- 9.00 pm. Coach arrives back at Chepstow LC car park
