Volunteering

Our u3a is Run Entirely by Volunteers

Chepstow u3a now has over 1,000 members – that’s a huge number for the size of our town and surrounding area. We are a thriving, vibrant community simply because so many people in our u3a work hard to provide a positive experience for our members. These people are our volunteers

  • We have over 100 Group Leaders who coordinate our Groups
    • You could become a joint Group Leader and help to share the load, or just help out at the Groups.
    • Or you could offer to start a new Group with the help and advice of the Group Support Team.
  • Join our Technical Team.
    • They help wherever our u3a needs assistance with microphones, loudspeakers etc at various functions such as our monthly Tuesday Live.
  • Join our Beacon Team.
    • They support our on-line membership and finance database
  • Join our Website Team
    • They develop our Website and train Group Leaders how to update their web page.
  • Join the Magazine Team and help to produce our monthly magazine
  • Join the Committee.
    • They are a friendly supportive group, usually organised in Teams, who are responsible for running our u3a.
  • Or join the Committee Support Team.
    • They help the Committee to carry out various functions essential to the running of our u3a.

There are lots of other ways you could help and we simply cannot function without the support of all of these volunteers.  All give up their time to make Chepstow u3a the wonderful community it is

.

We Need More Members to Volunteer

No volunteer can, or wants to, keep going forever. There is a constant need for members to step up and volunteer to help our u3a if it is to continue to thrive. Giving back is satisfying -especially when done in the company of others and with support. If you value Chepstow u3a, think how you can play your part. We simply can’t do it without you.

If you would like to help with running our u3a and want more details click on Co-Chair to send a contact email to the Chairs or have a chat with someone wearing a lanyard at a Tuesday Live meeting or a Coffee Morning
