At our meeting on the 9th May, members came with their artwork for our 1st art challenge of the year with the theme ‘Dickens’.
This was a very wide theme with plenty of potential subjects for members to draw and paint including characters, places and particular scenes from across all of Dicken’s books. We had a vote amongst the group for the top 3 favourites – Ruth’s ‘Abel Magwitch’ came first, followed by Carol’s ‘Dicken’s starting to write a Christmas carol’ and Paul’s ‘A Dickensian Street Scene‘.
Below is the artwork our members produced – enjoy.
