Gift Aid is an easy way to boost the full value of your subscription to Chepstow u3a by 25% at no cost to you, provided that you pay tax in the UK. If you sign up to Gift Aid, you don't have to do anything else; we will reclaim tax that you have paid on the your Subscriptions for current and future years.
However, if in the future, if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
Please ensure that you notify the Membership Secretary if you:
- Want to cancel this declaration at any time.
- Change your name or home address.
- No longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.
If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HMRC to adjust your tax code.
