Across the Severn Estuary for brunch at Shirley's Cafe

15 riders set off from Chepstow Leisure Centre on a sunny but cold late autumn morning planning to cross the Severn Estuary and head through the lanes to Severn Beach. Once over the Severn Bridge, we headed for Olveston where we stopped briefly to admire the quirky Duckingham Palace in the pond on Catherine Hill before continuing to Pilning and on to Severn Beach where, joined by our two Bristol side group members, we enjoyed a very sociable brunch stop in Shirley’s café. From Severn Beach we followed the path along the sea wall passing under the M4 and along the flood dyke to Old Passage Road and back on to the Severn Bridge for our route back to Chepstow. Thank you David for leading your second ride of the season and well done to all riders for turning out on such a cold morning. A very sociable outing!
