Graham Horder has been working in television production for the last 45 years or so. Originally destined for an engineering degree, his teachers thought he had lost the plot when he decided to be a wildlife cameraman. That decision was based on a love of nature and a concern for the environment. After a spell in television news, he got a job as editor with the RSPB's world-renowned Film Unit. He left the RSPB to go freelance, or 'welcome to the ranks of the self-unemployed' as many of his colleagues would say. After a chance meeting Graham co-produced and directed the first ever wildlife programmes for S4C. However, his first love has always been the filming itself, a 'job' which has taken him around the world. In recent times he's best known for his work in Wales with Iolo Williams and a small company that produces wildlife programmes for the BBC. He vows to carry on as long as he can lug a 25Kg camera bag up Pen y Fan…and back down again. Graham's talks consist of video clips, still photos, anecdotes, a bit of wildlife science and tales of sitting still for many hours waiting for absolutely nothing to happen.
