Subjects vary, talks are by outside speakers or by our members. At least twice a year we make outside visits to see Original Works, Galleries, Museums and other exciting stuff! We are a friendly and welcoming group, and there is always an interval for tea and chat.

We normally meet on the last Wednesday of the month in Community Room 1 at Chepstow Leisure Centre starting at 2.00 pm, entrance £3, for a presentation on some aspect of Art, Art History, Sculpture or Design.

We run an ‘Open Membership’ and so welcome any member of Chepstow u3a to any of our activities.

Talks this year have covered a diverse area of subjects including Edward Burne-Jones, Anna Ancher, Artists inspired by Provence and reviews of a number of exhibitions that members have visited. The outside visits included a trip to Castell Coch near Cardiff and a coach trip to Compton Verney. For the coming season we will have talks on David Hockney, Wright of Derby, Neo-impressionism and Sir Thomas Lawrence.
