Hei alle sammen. Anyone who either speaks Norwegian fluently or has a  reasonable working knowledge of the language, is welcome to come to one of our meetings to try us out.

We meet weekly to do some reading, and research various topics to do with Norway, but most of our time is spent in conversation. There is no actual teaching involved, but Ingrid, our Norwegian member, corrects our grammar and pronunciation when necessary. Of course we also have kaffe og kjeks (occasionally even vafler!).

So come along; dere er velkommen til gruppen. We are currently six in number but we do not all manage to get to every meeting. Although we do not consider ourselves a class, with lots of homework, we do expect members to do some preparation, even if it is only writing about our recent ,activities, or looking up a Norwegian joke or two!

We usually start by talking about anything interesting which we have done or seen during the last week. We then move on to other topics, and may read and talk about an excerpt from a  newspaper, a book or an internet article.
