We are a small group of armchair philosophers who discuss current affairs from a philosophical perspective
We have been working our way through modern philosophers books (Michael Sandel etc) and how ethics and morals can apply to current affairs. Recent topics include euthanasia, fake news and free speech and humanitarian intervention in a sovereign country. At present we are working through “Ethics and the Contemporary World” edited by David Edmonds.
We meet at member’s homes and take turns to host a meeting, but this is voluntary and not a requirement.
Contact the Group Leader for details if you would like to join us.
