Our next meeting on Wednesday 28th October at 2pm at Chepstow Leisure Centre will be a talk by Rosemary Parkhouse on the artist Joseph Wright, usually called Wright of Derby. Known for his 'candlelight' pictures and representations of experiments such as 'The Orrery' and 'Experiment with an Air Pump' he created moments of drama with his use of deep shadows and contrasting strong light. A talk not to be missed.
