Lift sharing from Chepstow Leisure Centre (CLC) is encouraged for a number of reasons, including that partking at the walk start point is often limited. Cars normally leave CLC at 09:30.

We encourage participants to carry an "In Case of Emergency" card or thave the details available from the lock screen on their phone.

We stop at around 11:30 for a coffee break and at 13:00 for lunch. Make sure you bring hot and/or cold drinks and any food that you require. On hot summer walks please bring extra water to prevent dehydration.

Please ensure that you consult the weather forecasts and have suitable clothes and equipment for the terrain and conditions – bearing in mind that the weather can change very quickly, particularly on hill walks. You should always wear proper walking boots/shoes and consider using walking poles. Waterproof clothing, including over-trousers should be carried at all times.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that all walks are appropriate, the u3a and the leader cannot accept liability for any injury or loss suffered by any persons as a result of taking part in their walking activities, however the loss or injury arises. Any person taking part in the walks should satisfy himself or herself that the activity is suitable for them. 

Guests are allowed on walks if they are considering joining the group and then only 2 or 3 times. Dogs are not allowed due to the terrain.

Walkers should carry a first aid kit to cope with minor accidents. If you have any queries about the walk, please contact the walk leader.
