When: Weekly on Wednesday all day

We walk every Wednesday, usually in the Brecon Beacons or the Black Mountains, but may venture further afield, e.g. to the Carmarthen Fan, the Gower, the Malverns, the Cotswolds or the North Devon/Somerset coast. The walks are not usually recce’d in advance and they can be a little bit experimental. We average around 12 miles but range from 8 miles in the winter up to 18 miles in the summer and with more than 700m ascent.

Forthcoming Walks (Click on link)

The walks are strenuous, at a reasonably fast pace, and are only suitable for strong walkers. Members of the Group will suggest and lead the walks and everyone is encouraged to participate and develop their navigation and leadership skills.

Lift sharing is usually arranged through WhatsApp groups, with the options of meeting at Chepstow Leisure Centre CP or the car park in Raglan. If you wish to join those leaving the Chepstow area, at around 08.30, by arrangement, please contact the walk leader or either of the Group Leaders.
